Powerful silhouette image, Gayle. I like the contrast of tones in the sky, with the menacing clouds.
Interesting choice to make the silhouette blurred. An attempt to blur de national identity of the fallen soldier, perhaps?
I like the composition, especially the placement of the silhouette, far to the right, with no room to go, and chased by the stormy sky.
Yes, I'm back after holidays, but still too busy with getting back to normality to post... yet.

Nice concept. Too bad there's so many everywhere around the world to remember. Coming from a family that was greatly affected and partly ruined by war. Good job on the shot and SO NICE to be in SK free zone. Keep up the good work, Mark

hi,Paul....do you mean that the contrast level is too dark on the clouds,because the blue n'white are natural but i used either levels or gamma correction for the darker clouds in PSP8...will have to check, but think i framed-in camera the placement of statue...thanks for comment!

This is a great silhouette, but I think the sky is a bit oversaturated. Plus, I wouldn't have placed the subject so far to the right.
