I'm no a fan of clever or intrusive frames, but I do like this one. The spill over is very effective... and the pans themselves are great, and the warm (late afternoon?) lighting is just right for them.

When I first viewed this, I thought what a clatter this group would make if something slipped or whatever. Reading the comments I love how you removed hat was on the right and left the pans hang over, neat George!!

This would certainly attract the customers, very unusual bit of advertising. The shot of it is superb, the lighting is perfect to bring out the shapes and forms of the pots and I like the PS work, it suits this image well.

Hi, Linda--The original shot includes a fragmentary view of some interesting architectural detail on the right, but the composition looked very vague when I included that. The pots ended up dead center and static. I hadn't done a frame like this in quite awhile, and I thought it would give the whole picture a little pop and distinction. Glad you like it, too. Thanks . . . --g

I love this George, it's wonderful, the colors, composition and clarity are beautiful...tell me what made you think to do this outside the border like that. It's great...wonderfully done..great eye you have...:):)Linda

Thanks, Gary. This one took a little work. I did straighten it out a bit using the Perspective tool in PS-CS2. There is a chance that you saw a different display. There are at least three in Paris that are very similar. One is near the Opera; another (this one) is on the Left Bank.

Great shot, as soon as I saw it I knew were it was because I took a far inferior shot of the same pots on a miserable dull day - it came out lifeless compared to yours which really stands out from the page. Like the idea of the pots spilling over the border too. How did you get to be on the same level as the pots?
Regards, Gary
