About Some may think the shot too light,
That a quick level would make it right.
But left untouched so you just might
See these tones to your eye's delight.

Haiku:

Lovely, small it stands.
A speck of fire alight, the
Paintbrush of nature.

Carol:

First - thank you.

Second...

Simple - screw up and overexpose the shot... then be delighted by the results and document accidental exposure as a "technique" for later use.

I have to hand it to the folks over at Nikon too, who made one heck of an incredible Macro lens in 1965.

Domjan:

Please feel free to haiku away - mine is a horrible attempt at a play with words (the flower is an Indian Paintbrush)

Really beautiful floral!
I was just about to say that a haiku would go well with this photo :)

Hello Michael. I like this portrait and your poem of the Indian Paintbrush. The Bokeh is perfect and gives the soft lens feel of a portrait. Very good job.

Regards,

Tom

I love these tones, Michael! Everything doesn't have to be bright, does it? This soft effect is very pleasing!

Linda:

Thanks - I wrote it quickly this morning, glad you enjoyed it. Poetry is easier on 5 hours of sleep.
