Thanks so much Christian. We too spend so much time watching and trying to find something to do to help, our son lost his home but has already found a job in a neighboring town and they'll be teaching shcool because of the influx of students into all the schools around Louisiana, And my daughter is pushing on with her chemotheraphy, she has 5 days this week, then she'll be off for 2-3 weeks, then 5 more days. She has to do it for 4 months and then radiation. She is a very stong woman and she'll do fine, she's my little girl! Darlene

Darlene,
I have spent so much time hoocked to television this past week while feeling deeply the sorrow of all those affected in your area. I just want to extend my support and thoughts to all of them through you, as well as to your daughter and son.
I feel your images are a real testimony of light in these times of darkness.

Darlene,
I think once the immensity of this tragedy sinks in the American public will open their hearts and wallets and help. I find Americans to be very generous in these situations. I was in Boston and Lime Rock Conn. on the weekend and I saw many donation boxes all over. Super markets, gas stations and restaurants all were collecting. Even the event that I went to on Saturday was donating all of the paid parking to the relief programs.
People will donate, the trick is getting the money to the right places.

I couldn't believe it when I saw this image, Darlene, as I just finished a series of shots of the exact flower a few hours ago! Well done, I may post one of mine in a few days.
I'm glad you're OK, and your son is with you, the devastation and aftermath is terrible. We'll donate to the Red Cross, and I hope many others do, as well.
Dave.

Pat, we are safe here in Lafayette but our neighbors to the east really were hit hard. We have a son in New Orleans, he was here with us, who probably lost their home, we just don't know yet. Thanks so much for asking how we were, the messages from friends have really warmed our hearts. Darlene

Darlene, Are you doing okay? Was your area hit? Can't beleive the tragedy. We gave to the Red Cross. Is there anything else we can do? Pat
