Hi, Colin, I'm happy that you like it. This picture was taken in the shade, under the trees. And yet, with our A95 allowing only f/8.0 as its smallest aperture, in order to achieve this speed of 1 s without overexposing the sunlit highlights, I used a Hoya Circular Polarizing Filter to reduce the light. Otherwise the effect of smooth water wouldn't have been achieved (with a faster speed). The PL filter also helped me get more saturated colours, especially on the wet rocks. The whole series that I'm about to upload is taken with this filter (I do not have any ND filters yet). About the Bulgarian words ? don?t worry, if you come to Bulgaria some day, you?ll learn many of them. I hope you?ll see our beautiful country some time. Best regards, Denitsa
Excellent manual shot from the A95, Denitsa. And a little help from you. Good water motion at 1s. I must try this sometime...and I must research some Bulgarian words!
Denitsa I would have left in the tree for very same reason. Your shot is perfectly composed and the colors and saturation and Spot on. I really like the way you Framed it as well. Best Regards
Thank you very much, Andrea, your Bulgarian is great! :-) You may be right about the fallen tree trunk, I'm glad that you shared your oppinion. This picture is part of a series where I tried various compositions with a nice stream through the forest. Here I tried to convey a sense of depth and space with the trunk as a 'lead-in line', and it is important for me to see if people like it or dilike it. So, thanks again for commenting frankly. I'll upload more of this series, and I hope you'll comment on them too. Best regards, Denits
Sdravei, mnogo krasiva...that's all my bulgarian!!! you got the right shutter speed cause the effect on the falling water is good. But I don't like the part on the bottom on the right with this piece of wood. Heide!!! Andrea
