Brugmansia, waited all summer for this wonderfully fragrant bloom, about 12 inches long and the most glorious flower I have seen, can't get enough of the scent!
Hi Ellen, there seem to be quite a few that are called "Moon Flower". Mine and yours are in the same family and I have posted one like yours just a few back. This one is "Brugmansia" and the bloom lasts much longer, at least a few days and is about a foot long, very fragrant! Yours is a "Datura", read the about on the one I posted, Cary
Wonderful shot. This is the moon flower right? Does yours just open at night because we have a "moon flower" that is open all day? It just doesn't have the same kind of flare on the edges and it is sort of limp. Below is a shot of the one down the street. Is it the same thing?
I think I saw one of these in British Columbia a couple of weeks ago and didn't know what it was. The one I saw was closed on the end, evidently it hadn't opened yet. Nice lighting. Don.
