Great shot. A little reminiscent of the old 'black light' posters people used to put up on bedroom walls!

I like this. Clearly you don't need a pristine natural environment to showcase a sunset. Industrial artifacts in the foreground work just fine. And clearly too, no terrorist would ever stand like that. They would be crouched over, scurrying furtively, carrying a big awkward package. Sort of like photographers.

To be sure that nobody will mess with my security when I want to be surrounded by gentle colour and glimpses of hope in humanity through the medium of pipes and wrought ironwork, I get all my small people from accredited vendors. These vendors apply strict and broad-trawling vetting procedures to ensure that no harm comes to anyone ever and everyone is happy and nobody has a problem and it's only nutters what complain anyway and they are dealt with in the usual "otherwise" ways... I expect saucy Gayle does the North American equivalent of what those of us who live under a black cloud of grimness refer to as: "taking precautions through the acquisition of relevant knowledge".
Yeah!

...But what do you know about "those people"? Maybe they're terrorists and are gonna mess with all those valves and pipes....see what I mean? :~> (better safe than sorry). I like the colors in the shot and using the piping as framing - very modern looking......

Makes a stunning composition Gayle. I love the colours and the shapes, especially the people. It loooks like they are about to drop into a great big void. The only thing I might try is a bit of acrop off the bottom, think it might also look good, more as if the people are about to drop right down on you Margaret

Kes I believe Wal Mart is having a 2 for 1 sale on small people this week. ;)
Very creative and imaginative. Love the colours and a unique concept to photograph it through a building as I can see all sorts of interesting shapes in the blackness as well which would normally be uninteresting. Quite thought provoking. Well done Gayle.

Hey, this is neat! Where did you find such small people? - That's the effect! The tilt kind of messes with the thought process a little too. Great! Glad you kept it in color, nice sky.

hi,Todd....this is a cool park on Lake Union called Gasworks Park because of the old left over industrial structures...they painted some of them and built a playground around some...the huge ones are fenced, but some kids manage to tag em' anyway....they have a great 4th of July here, and protest demonstrations are often held here....one of my fave parks in Seattle!
