Another great shot, Tim! Say, how has the battery in your D70 been holding up in the colder weather? Have you noticed a significant change in images per charge?
Best regards, Bob

Hi Lori, thanks for the comments.....it was raining but near the freezing mark. The lighting was tough so i was happy to get a good shot dispite all the adverse conditions.

ahhhh yes MG,
i didn't even see the chickenwire till you mentioned it. Oh well i like the image regardless but would have fixed it if i had seen it before posting. This area is very touristy and i was just happy to get a shot off without somebody walking into the frame...... ha-ha

I really like the way the orange vegetation and the color of the water go together. I also like the lead into the photo by the stream, and the way the light seems to radiate out from behind that dramatically sharp mountain - super shot!

What a beautiful country, Tim. I can't keep up with the spate of gorgeus shots you continue uploading, certainly not to comment on them all. This is just to say "Thank you" and that if you notice several of them being chosen as favourites, that's often likely to be me! These days, though, instead of putting them all in my favourites I just browse your portfolio!

WOW...this is absolutely beautiful Tim. (how cold was it?)
Love the leading line in this one, brings you right into the scene to where that nice water is. Gorgeous colors, very nice composition.

Terrific rugged autumn landscape, the lower part of the mountain and the clouds radiate from the peak, the golden foliage seems to stand out all the more in the overcast conditions. Now that MG mentions the wire I see it, to clone or not depends on your attitude to manipulation and would need to be done carefully.

One of the great things about this site is the ability for me to see beautiful photographs of places around the world; this photo is no exception. This photo urges me to explore the Canada... perhaps someday I will be able to do so. This picture is going to my favorites! Just yesterday there has been a little chill in the air, here in Georgia. It is wonderful to see that fall is in full swing else ware.

i really like your composition here with the different layers of color and texture, the small stream leading up to the lake, the cold dark sky,...outstanding scenery. thanks for providing a working stiff behind a laptop wonderful glimpses of autumn in Banff! you are encouraging me to soon make a return visit there!
i am enjoying your work! thanks for braving the cold.
p.s. the rocks in lower left appear to be held back by eroson control "fencing"...maybe just my eyes...if so, might be a bit more "unspoiled by man" if cropped out.
