Wow. Wow. And you feel humbled? Your portfolio is awesome. I'll be adding it to my friends list so I can keep track.
Thanks for your comments on Diablo the Kangaro. I wish I could have gotten the whole shadow too but when he is doing his zoomies, its very difficult to even capture him in a shot.
Best, Dave

Many thanks, Irena. I did post the setup on one of these lemon shots but it doesn't seem to have survived the migration to the new UF. So here it is again... (This is actually the setup for "Lemon Explosion" posted Aug 2005, but the setup for this image was very similar.)
All the best, John

Many thanks, Melisa. Your comment came in just at the right time - "crisp & clean": that makes me feel a whole lot better. If you look at my exchanges with Stefan and others on this and similar images you'll understand why! AJ

Stefan: yes, I prefocus, using manual focussing on a metal millimetre scale, supposedly to ensure an exact DOF...

I presume you pre-focus the shot? It does look like the shutter is fast enough.

Many thanks for your comment, Stefan. I went to great lengths regarding the sharpness here, this being one of the later shots of several hundred from several sessions. All I can think is that it is perhaps the quality of the glass that is affecting the image, or even a problem with the camera (I am having similar problems with other images, especially the drops...) Hey AJ this is coooooolll. Years ago I tried catching water droplets hitting the surface of more water in a glass. You've stirred that need to try it again. With digital it'll be less expensive. However this series with lemons has given me some tips and a great deal of incentive. Got a long way to go to get to this level of skill though. My heartiest congratulations. Den
