Well, it might be spelled Jonnie but he's the aging Tom Jones type Pop singer that's still very big in France amongst the baby boomers. You can hear his version of the 60's hit "Black is Black" in French in the excellent Nick Nolte film "The Good Thief" shot in the south of France in and around Nice and Monte Carlo. I don't recommend Holiday's music but the film is great IMO. Not well known in the states (which might be a plus)......
