Hi Glen
In photoshop select the are just below the horizon with the rectangular marquee tool. Make an adjustment layer (click the half black / white circle icon) located on the bottom of the layers palette. Select the curves option. When the curves dialogue box appears move the diagonal line in an upward direction until the selected area lightens to a point that you like.
This will often leave a distinct edge. Go to Filter-Blur- Gaussian bur and move the slider until the edges blurs to a point where it becomes unnoticeable

Glen this is very nice, love the composition with the rocks in the foreground leading the viewer into the image, the adjusted one in the comments is nice too, it looks like a levels and or curves adjustment in PS...very nice photography Glen!

Hi Jara, Thank you for your suggestion / advice regarding my photo, your cropped etc. version of my photo is a very much improved and a more vibrant photo.
