About This is a cropped image. I am including the original. I would appreciate any suggestions on cropping and contrast to make the image better. Thanks.

I realise this discussion was commenced many years ago, but I'd like to add my bit...
I think there are different types of people-those that find the joy in the details, and those that have the gift of seeing the big picture.
Personally I like to get up close to examine the detail,(as in your panda portraits) I find the white area up the top of the uncropped version grabs my attention and gets in the way of me digesting the detail.
You have covered both types by presenting both images, and started a stimulating conversation as well. CC

Hey Andy!

The framing, silhouette, and depth of field are beautiful! Keep up the great work!

Andy, I think we've spoken about this image in person... and perhaps we will again.... I think it's a great work. Both images are great, but I'd be interested to see what would happen if you crop it so that the person ends up toward the lower left part of the image... jolt it a little bit to see what it looks like... perhaps I'll play in PS a little later.

Hope you are well, my friend! Perhaps we'll hook up in Shanghai!

Thanks, Gabriela, maybe I should stop worrying about cropping my photos. Cheers.

They are both good shots! I prefer the non-cropped one as it has a beautiful perspective, which is something I like in photos.

Tough call ANdy...I thnk they convey different messages...the cropped version is more intimate...and the uncropped version feels lonely...they're both good

Thanks, Adelino, I thought the original might distract from the central image. Cheers.
