Hi Patrick,
A great idea for a self-portrait, if you ask me. Yin and Yang, the good and the bad guy, Jekyll and Hyde. The detail is great and you got that evil twins look that make this image special.

Hey buddy...you can send me emails no bigger than 10meg each....if you are sending more than spread them out to give them time to download....but u can send them through anytime....if that helps. I prefer larger images...so send them as big as you can but small enough for the email limits.

Thank you Judi my friend! =) It was ages ago we talked about doing some portrait work.. i think i have the right settings here now to being able to fix a few for you if youre still interested. Problem is that the NEF files are 60mb each.. and sending you very small jpgs arent the best as you will rework on them. Perhaps taking them down to around 512kb each or around that size?

Thank you Lance for your comment and thought/idea about this shot! =) The original shot included both full heads and space around them and some of the body.. this crop is around 100% of the first image. Thats why the DOF/sharpness looks abit strange. I tried to redo it but i didnt like the expression/poses on the next shots (had around f/6-10 then).

Aye.. its a wonderful camera. But i have to say after owning the D70 for a few years that the D70 is a superb camera for the money. I hope you will be able to get one Marian! =)

Hey Patrick,
This image is fantastically composed, and the expression is very dark and mysterious, great work!
I think if you want the focus to come out sharper, you should use a small aperture, which will allow the depth in focus to extend a great deal, allowing you to achieve clear images without any real hassles.
