Wow Ina! Thanks for posting the panoramic. The colors are spectacular and I love the bowl shape of it. A nice shot, traditional wide angle or not! Many thanks for this treat!

Say, I've been here before :-) Love this place! I really like the tones, and the little spots of green accents created by the brush really add some additional character.
Excellent work!
Best regards, Bob

Hi Mark your wish to see Ubehebe in panoramic format is here below :) At that time I didn't have a true wide angle, so this is all I've got. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks Margaret, the whole Death Valley is stunning, but that crater, seen from above looks like a red starburst, quite something!

I like the details, light, and color in this shot. I'm also wanting to see a more panoramic shot showing the whole crater, though in truth that's not a very legitimate critique. I always try to critique what the image IS, rather than what it is NOT. Any image is NOT a great many things! And this image IS an effective abstract of texture and light with good colors and balance in a trcky exposure situation. You got great DOF here with everything in focus. Forgive my fanciful imagining of some other photo!

Thanks Linda, I have a better view of the entire colorful crater, but I picked this one for the tiny people, seen in Ann Nida's style :)

Wow an impressive shot Ina, the lines or grooves in the crater make a nice lead in to the massive size of this crater, amazing capture, and those tiny people are nice for adding scale..must be wonderful to see this is person, very nice image dear!

Thank you Mark, this was a vertical image, I cut a bit of the rocks at the edge, to stay within the square format. I have a few hundred shots from DV, my favorites -by far- are the sand dunes. Ubehebe was very colorful, though. Tomorrow is Ann Nida's birthday, so this is something similar to what she does. I'd love to go back to DV and the Bishop area, too.

You are so unique. You don't do cliche or standard rules and I admire that.
I need to go back to Death Valley. I took only two shots at Ubehebe, and they weren't to my liking. And also, I had film, which I quickly exhausted. Next time, I'm coming back with a digital camera, and of course with my Holgas and Diana cameras.
