Thanks Stan, some days it rains across the road but not in my yard. Other days we have dry lightning. One thing in the Rockies is that one can be surprised in a short period of time with a weather change.

Thanks Joe, took your advice and played with shadow/ highlight a little to add some contrast. No need to smudge this one. This was taken from my front porch.

The exposure looks very good in this one Stan. You've dealt with the contrast very well. Very nicely composed and taken.

Thanks so much Chuck, the clouds were moving in and stacking up as the afternoon progressed. Lightning was in the distance when I shot this. the sun was really lighting it up well.
