Judi... that screaming part sounds really gross... I don't think I would be able to handle that part. It was bad enough hearing a rabbit scream.. but frogs screaming. Yikes.

Tara, yes we do have large bugs. Around here they are mainly cockroaches, grasshoppers and geckos. The latter two can be about 12cm long.
Yes, it is true, when they say we are unlucky if they are not around. Snakes love them, so if you have them around, then there are no snakes, if they aren't around, it means the snakes have taken them, therefore they are nearby. I must say though that to hear a snake taking a frog is an awful sensation. The screaming....

Right, I forgot, there are bugs the size of birds in Aulstralia isn't there? he he ..But seriously, if the frog population goes down that usually means trouble for humans. At least that's what they tell us. So if the frogs are doing fine, we should be ok. Or so it goes..?

I live in a country town. My friends a few streets away have roos coming into their yard. We have snakes, frogs, toads, kestrels, cockatoos, rosellas, galahs, finches, etc...coming into our yard regularly. I am a farming girl originally and had a pet roo, horses, dogs, cattle and sheep in our yard regularly. Then there was all the native animals, like emus, damn foxes etc annoying us. Nothing to have a snake come into the kitchen....arrrgghh!!!

The only time they usually serenade is when there is rain around. The say it is good to have green tree frogs around, as that means there are no snakes. Although it is a horrific sound when a snake does get one. The screaming is horrible.

Ya know Judi, there's much worse things than having a frog jump on you :) I thought a SciFi movie showing a bunch of frogs advancing upon a house hilarious.."what they gonna do,hop on you"?
Well, this is a great capture of one the little monsters. Especially that big sinister smile. He's definately been eating a lot of something, luring his victims into complacency with a big grin and his 'green' status, then springing a big sticky tongue attack on them.
Well this time he was captured and you did a good job.
