I usually have problems with scanning black and white negatives, the grain on fast film seems to take on undue prominence on screen - not sure why! Your darkroom print will outlive any digital one I'm sure.

thanks! This scan doesn't really do it justice. I have a big 11x14 print of this in my home that looks much better.

A bouncing, full of life dog - lovely picture, great fun well done. (could be a little bigger though!)

experiment ok. go on. I think howewer that one must adapt the effect of 35mm film in Holga to the effect one wants to gain, for example, the holes of film, resulting dark, must enter into the composition to have a real meaning, not only a casual effect. I hope to see more shot from you like it.
after, colors : why don't you use cross processing from slide film into C41? You will be surprise by results.

Thank you for the input. I have other shots with the full horse, but I guess I have a tendancy to go for the really tight shots (perhaps overly so). Thanks!

I agree that it would have been nice to see the whole horse, it is a nice action shot.

Would have liked to see more of the horse in the frame (the nose in particular). I love the sense of movement it gives!

Very cute, the cat looks captivated by the camera whereas the dog seems to be just checking what's going on, in a very cool manner.
It might be a scanner + monitor issue but the white fur on the dog's side looks rather blown out and is the first place my attention goes to when I look at the pic. A bit of burning should fix it.

A really nice dog portrait. I can see why you're getting requests from people to photograph their pets.

Great photo! I love the small fstop to blur all but the eyes. B&W makes it all the more appealing.

Fabulous, Laura -- it's truly magical and beautiful. I like that you've left imperfections here (upper corners) it give this a nice edge and keeps it from being thought of as "cute" -- which is always possible when magenta tones are present, I think.
Keep it up!

I love the tone of this image. The composition is also very good. The image first made me think of fading love. Good job.

The border is good, really good perspective - it just gets a bit too bright in the right, but it's not too bad, really.

Yeah, I had to snap this one pretty quickly, as my dog is hyperactive and never stands still--he likes to try and eat the camera! I wish I had captured the ears too...

Tis a good photo Laura I wish you had not cropped off the top of the dog's ears. If you did not crop I understand, but it would have made a perfect capture. Its a very nice picture now.
