Thanks Angelo for all the words you wrote to me.
This picture is scanned from a straight contactprint witout any correction, so the final correction in contrast as needed and sugegsted, will be done in the final print.
Of course, next time i will wipe out the dust from the scans...

thanks for your words.
In this case is almost impossible to have more details in highlights because, i.e. shines on the threads, it felt lot above the zone X.
This was a very difficult shot because of very low contrast backgrounds (various brownn tints and paints) and on the other hand a very contrasty object with shines and shades.
So i choose a underexposing and overdelepoing to raise more general contrast. And the lock was in dark chamber espoed with different c. grade...
Also slightly toned...
A lot of work!
it is not perfect and I know but is my best in this challenge!!
Thanks for suggestion in exposure, i will try again.
