Not a bad price.

$5k? Ouch. A bit steep. That's about how much I payed for my car!

Excellent dragonfly, Todd. These buggers (sorry for the pun are hard to get shots of! I got lucky once right when I got my S1-IS (over a year ago, now. Damn... a year ago... jeez...). I'll bet the 300mm lens helps a bit. Man, I gotta get one of those. If you don't mind me asking, where you get your lens, did you find a good deal on it?

Thanks, Kambiz. I'm glad to hear you like it - I've never really done any landscapes before.

I did have the white balance set for a flash to add some red that helped - but it was very amazing. I'm lucky I was there (and even more lucky to have a new camera to do it justice).

Excellent photo, Arturs. I love gears - so industrial and yet graceful. Great work.

Well, sorry to ruin it for you, but there ain't no PS work here. The only PS work I did was the frame and levels, the rest is natural. Pretty crazy, huh?

Will do. I'll have to find more panos to do.

You're right I haven't updated my profile in a while!

Thanks, Mirek. I like the way this shot turned out. I'm a huge fan of anything purple - total eye candy.

Thanks, Mark. The views from this area was amazing. This shot is probably about a 230 degree field of view.

Hope things have been going well for you. Looking forward to seeing more of your shots - especially now that I've got a cool camera, just like you.

Wow, thanks, Michael. I have always admired your stitches and all of you landscapes so this is quite the compliment coming from you.

I'm really enjoying the 18-55mm lens that my EOS 350D came with. I've never shot with anything lower than a 28mm until now.

Thanks, Chris! Glad to hear you like it. This is my very first stitch and I believe it's my first real landscape. I've never really done any landscapes. I'm quite prous at how well this shot turned out, especially for an amateur of 20yrs. old.

By the way, your porfolio is fantastic. I'll have to look at it when I get the chance.

Thanks, Todd. You certainly will be seeing more photos from me. I took over 2600 photos with this thing on our trip to Colorado, so I've gotta post a bunch of them. (I was glad I bought an extra high-cap battery!)

This is a great image, Phillip. Even if I wasn't a native New Mexican, this shot would be easy to appreciate. Excellent tones and great composition.

By the way, my father, Donan Estill has talked of a Phillip Cohen he was good friends with in grad school at NMSU, you wouldn't happen to be the same Phillip, would you? (wouldn't that be wierd...)

EXCELLENT macro, Pawel. I love all of the greens in this shot. It's almost monochromatic. Good depth of field and great blurred background. Great work. 7/7

Excellent shot, my friend. You're getting better and better. Seems your 20D is working quite well for you. I just bought a 350D yesterday and it should be here in the next few days. Although, it makes me wonder about it - I did order it on 6/6/06... Hopefully, it doesn't arrive in pieces or in flames.

I really like this shot, babe. It's one of my favorites of yours. I don't remember you taking this at all. I remember when we were at the stop light, but not when you took the photo... was prolly staring at yer butt.

This is an excellent shot, Keith. I've really enjoyed you 1940s photos. I'm a huge WWII fanatic. Anything that's WWII related I go crazy over. Great work and great group protrait.

I think we need to see a distressed version of some of them.

Very very nice. That combination of shots works great. Excellent work. I really like your floral shots - not your everyday florals.

THIS shot is my favorite shot of the series by far. Excellent color and composition on each of the panes. The three shots perfectly compliment eachother. Great work.

EXCELLENT photo, Keith. Great slight tilt on the shot and I like the desaturation - not too much, nor too little. I love anything that's WWII related. I'm quite interested in the Royal Airforce - you Brits are badass pilots.

You just gave me an idea for a photo I'll have to try with some WWII newspapers my girlfriend gave me.

Looking forward to seeing more of these shots.

Excellent floral macro shot. Background is perfectly blurred, while just enough of the flower is blurred, as well. I really like the DoF in this shot. Great work.

This is a great shot. I would like to see a spring and summer shot as well and then make a collage of all three. (I have a thing for old, rusty things...)

Seriously... when are you going to send me a 20D? I can only wait so long...

Actually, I finally decided that in the next few months or so I'm going to get a 350D and take the plunge into the glory known as Canon Digital SLRs.

I just noticed that you got a lens with IS - NICE. How are you liking it? If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get for and where? On my D100 I have a Sigma 70-300 but always wished I had IS...

Great shot, BTW. I like his unusual posture - he's like "WHO DAT?!".

I like your choice even better. I especially like how the two of the sides of the flower have a soft brown background, while the the middle will have the nice gray.

What kind of problems are you having with 12" x 18" prints?
