Thanks for your great comment Scott!
It was indeed not too easy to get the youngsters cooperate, especially since they had never before met the older men. However, I must say, the gentleman was so good with children, that they immediately felt at ease with him, resulting in some great shots.
I definately agree on the cropping. When I have some time (expect that to be around 2020), I will definately upload some cropped versions here.

I would like a little more, or alot less saturation in the colors, furthermore, see her left eye, or hide it completely. However, I see it was taken in Beirut, which I suppose is not hte easiest place to photograph right now.
I really don't understand why there is no comment yet on this picture... It deservers alot better then this.

Or at least.. The pain comming from love... Nice capture, full of feeling. More then I expected on first sight I must admit.

You got me... Where is it???
I love this landscape, and what does it for me is the great foreground. These sandbumps are so nicely, goldenly lit, and so well placed in the frame, that they MAKE this picture for me. Besides that, I like the effect that you have here which makes me feel trapped between heaven and earth, but it is a beatifull place...

Very moody shot, very wel exposed, makes me want to go there immediately!

I like it, very much, especially the dress and the location. However, her body does not fit her facial expression, there is no tension in her muscles (arms).

Dutch:
Het prachtigste aan deze foto, naast het moment en het licht, is de expressie van je zoon, je ziet hem genieten!

English:
The most beautiful of this picture, besides the capturing of the moment and the light, is the expression of your son, you can tell he enjoys!

Well, it sure is high performance!!!
Great macro, I guess that 100mm Macro really does its job well if a good photographer uses it!

I don't think you would get a better result in ANY way if you asked her to pose for you and act as if she is looking.

Very nice candid here Paul, expecially with the story, then the facial expression comes out very well too :-)

Thank you for your comment, all of you!
As for the pop of colour: you mean keep everything in sepia, except for the girls? That is quite a challenge, don't know how to do that yet, but I will find me a tutorial on the net ;-)

This picture has loads of drama!!!
Very good!
Does have a lot of grain, but it is not a bad thing in this picture, I suppose you even added it on purpose :-)

Hi Amalia,

thank you for your comment.
I like this portrait of this nice model. Two things though: the contrast is a little low, a bit of a haze over the pic. And second: the blown out part in the lower right corner. For the rest I like it very much.

The crop of the fingers doesn't bother me at all, the image is strong enough to prevent that from being an issue. I do feel there is no comparison between the two pictures, they are both good, and don't really feel linked to eachother.

Hmmm... I'm afraid they may have a point there... but I do feel that it is a bit 'kommaneuken' :-) I think you could've avoided it by changing the direction of the light. Well.. I guess yo uknow how to avoid it, just didn't see it at the moment of pushing the shutter...

You call this one 'Jenna in colour', but it is just the almost absence of colour that I like in this picture... making it very soft... Very nice picture, also the grain adds to it.

Very nice and natural portrait. Two remarks: the burnt out spot on his forehead, and the line of the background going through his head.

Same story, I like this one. The point of view is very well thought of, and the colors are very nice, as is the crop and composition. One thing perhaps is the fluid, which is a bit blurry as opposed to the rest, and therefor not immediately recogniseable.

I like this one Katleen... as well as the other one. I like the composition, and the colorchoice (brown vs yellow). One thing perhaps is the sharpness, but that may be due to the scan or jpeg compression. I truely wonder what the jury didn't like about this one?
