Hi Peter,
thank you for your feedback. I considered to increase the contrast but I recognized that the fine tones will be lost. However, perhaps I will load a optimized version.
Thanks.

Thank you for your feedback ! This endemic plant is really unique and it looks very strange. The picture is not over-sharpened - it's just the strange surface of the plant.
Have a nice day.

Hi Davi,
thank you so much for your feedback. Yes I used a number of filters. First of all I always use a UV/warm filter (combined one) and for this scene I attached additional a Pol-Filter and a ND (0.9) filter. The Pol-Filter helps to eliminate the reflexions and to intensify the structure of the rock.
I know, the ND filter aren't cheap but they are the money worth. By the way, I own a 0.6 and 0.9 one (ordered by B&H, NY)
Kind regards, Gerry

Hi Neil,
ich liebe es, Wasser (fest oder flüssig) zu fotografieren und das Tessin ist immer eine besondere Herausforderung ... zwischen geniessen und fotografieren.
Anyway, ich wünsche Dir einen schönen Abend und bis bald.
Gruss, Gerry

Dear Sam,
thank you so much for your kind feedback. It's a pleasure for me to share my experience and therefore I try to explain how I captured this sunsets.
First of all I use my Sigma 120-300mm (at 300mm) and a 1.4 and 2.0 teleconverter. This combination is necessary because I don't have 600m F4 lense )-; The more importan factor is the colorspace of your camera and RAW workflow. I capture all my shots in RAW and I use adobe98 colorspace. Before I create the jpg file I convert the colorspace from adobe98 into RGB. This is very important because the adobe98 red is not your jpg/web-red. And that's all about my RAW / Adobe CS workflow.
And by the way, I use always a centre weighted exposure.
It's sounds very easy but the reality is unfortunately more complex than the theory. I made a lot of sunset shots and 95% of them are crap. Either the colors (expecially the yellow) or the exposure ... you know.
Good luck!
Regards, Gerry
