Thank you Ray.

To be honest I haven't had much time to experiment this past year...new business and all. I have however found my favorite 3 types of film...haven't gone digital yet. But I did learn alot from the members of Usefilm when I first started exploring the world of photography.
and....WOW!...it was great to hear from you It's been a long time hasn't it...
Hope your still having fun with your photography.

Love the reflection and the colors are pretty. I'm not quite sure about the color of the rose but that is just one of those 'matter of opinions' type things. I do like the color and texture of the petals on the...isit a table?

Love the colors and the rain drops look so fresh and real. Could use a little more light. Focus is excellent. Very sharp and details are excellent.

Thank you, Ray.

The actual wall paper covers my whole screen and there isn't that much white going on in the original....but I have to agree whole heartedly...they are cuties and to be so different from each other...they truly do love each other and are a blast to watch.

I think your crop and sharpening added the 'extra' little touch to make this photo in my opinion 'beautiful'.
Thank you Joksa

'show' of a true 'model'

Hi Wayne,

This image I suppose is not 'true' photography. I did not have to use my imagination or my knowledge of photogrpahy. I suppose another category I could have posted this image in would have been photo journalism. The way this image was captured...Using a Nexstar Telescope with an electronic eyepiece placed on the telescope and then they eyepiece was hooked into a video camera. This image showed up on the LCD screen of the video camera. The telescope was focused several miles away from our home. There is a lake between our home and where the telescope was focused. I also looked into the telescope itself to see what was going on at the time. In the eyepiece of the telescope all that was showing was a bunch of trees and in the middle of the trees was just a dark area. That was all I could see through the telescope but the 'form' in the image was showing up on the video camera LCD screen. I titled the picture "Believe it or Not" because most people scoff at these kind of images and I was quite stunned myself when I saw it.
Anyway, this image I posted to share not because of any talent or creative thinking or master minded abilities or knowledge. Just an image to share. I do feel it would be a great photo journalist item?

I always like to go see what kind of photographer takes time to add a comment to my photos and what made them interested in any of my images. This picture gives me an idea of what you were intrigued with about my image "Believe or not"/ Altho I must say as a photographer you were 'looking' for and saw this image and apparently saw something very interesting about the 'form' of the shadow being cast onto the wall? This is what photography is all about..looking for and seeing the 'unique' photos that can be captured such as the one you have posted here. My photo was just a 'happening' that was unusual.

Maybe this isn't the sight I should post such a picture? I just see this stuff on television all the time and people are skeptical as to the 'reality' of such an image. This is an actual photo. I realize more than likely the camera or telescope picked up on some sort of atmosphere in the area. Wayne, I just thought it was a cool picture and not to many people in their lifetimes are ever able to capture an image such as this one. Maybe I should have posted it under the project 'Decisive Moment'?

Thanks for all your comments. Hi to you too Brendon I always love having feedback on my photos. This photo was taken with a new lens I just purchased and since there are no flowers at this time of year I just had to try my hand with the new lens and this is the item I picked to use for my first adventure with the 'macro'. I had the camera on a tripod..there was just a tad bit of wind..causing the bit o' softness to the upper right corner..I think? Or maybe the more shallow DOF that I used for this kind of picture..in that I usually use f/22. Any comments as to better my ability to use a macro lens is always welcomed. Again thanks for your feedback and comments.

Thank you for your comments. Peter, about the star glints..I suppose I could subtract a few of them I kinda liked them. I just thought it might add a little extra to show just how much ice we had a couple of weeks ago. Thank you Toni, about the presentation comment. I hadn't really thought about it but now I will

Because of the shallow DOF the flowers are a bit soft. I do however love the composition and the idea of having the flowers seem as if they are floating in the air. Nice idea Kim.

Lovely! I love the fog as an added touch of 'weather' conditions...which can add quite a mood to a scene such as this one. Great job!

Love the composition. I rated this photo an 8. The reason for not rating the image a 10: I'm wondering if you could catch this scene when the sun is shining on the front of the rocks or side of the rocks and the trees in the valley? May not be possible but I think that kind of lighting would work really well.

I personally love the angle and compostion and colors. I have always loved the 'painterly' look in an image such as this one.

Beautiful colors. The rocks in the far background seem a bit soft. I think a little more sky and less frame would have worked better tho.

Would be beautiful printed on really glossy shiny 'post card' paper. I see 'clone' spots in the sky area tho it seems? Maybe a bit of a blur tool to blend?
