Hi Kiarang,

I really like the composition in this one. All that white space really brings attention to the two men, and even though there is no actual diagonal, their gazes create a strong diagonal that draws the eye into the photo.

best wishes,
Gaja

I love these two-dimensional images that are all about the composition and the subject just seems irrelevant. Really nice proportions and the shadow adds to the image as well.

best,
Gaja

Hi Jeanette,

thanks for your kind comments. Looks like I missed a lot of great posts of yours! I really love all the warm colors of your recent work. This one jumps out at me because of the simple combination of color and line. great work!

best wishes,
Gaja

wow, this is great; your editing is excellent and I find that the mood of the image constrasts with the cheery mood usually associated with tigger.

best,
Gaja

Hi Senthil,

Thanks for your kind comments! I love my new D50; the quality of my old prosumer camera just didn't compare. There's really nothing that I am not pleased with. If you're curious about anything in particular, I'd be happy to let you know my impressions.

best,
Gaja

this breaks my heart. i also thought based on the lack of blood and other details that the dog must've already been dead; people can be so horrible. I like the composition more in this one; both have very rich colors which are beautiful if you ignore the subject, sort of ironic.

I love minimal dof! The colors here are so vibrant, almost like underwater colors, emphasized by the blurriness.

Hi Jr. Martin,
thanks for the info about Rembrandt's triangle; that's definitely not something that was on my mind when taking this shot, but maybe it will be in future ones!

Hi Jr. Martin,

I really appreciate all your recent comments and critiques! In this photo I converted to black and white using channel mixer in photoshop, and then added a sepia toning using a solid color layer and color burn blending. thanks again!

Hi Fadel,

Thanks very much. lately when I open files in photoshop the reds especially seem overly saturated. I try to view in 'monitor RGB' but maybe that's the mistake. Of course when I upload them they look completely different (much more washed out).
