Denzil
this is well composed and very intimate. It gives a lovely warm feeling. I like the B&W very much but I wouldn't mind seeing the colour version for comparison. Difference in skin tones and the sand might be enchanting.
Thanks regardless for sharing this

I find this your picture very poetic and lovely...

The choise of B&W is quite perfect and even if there is something on the left top corner, I find it ok, because out of focus.

I love it.

Great capture for a first try! Might have adjusted the colors in Ps, but the details are excellent!

Excellent. Beautifully arranged - "Heart Shape", excellent textures of the shells. I wish you used a some kinda cloth maybe a silky red cloth and some pearls... or seamless paper to avoid the "line" (is that a window?) in the bakground.

Love the subtle tones that you applied here too. Overall a nice effort. Well done.

Elangs.

Marvelous composition! The water drops on the window make an excellent backdrop. Also, I like the geometry. Good eye!

So gorgeous and emotive! Beautiful capture! Just a pity that pole is covering the girl a little bit.

good color and tones. The fence pole is cutting into her face. If you could have moved to your right a little to get the pole between her and the baby. I think that it would improve this shot. I know you have to get the shot when you can. Good shot.

Interesting framing on this shot... it makes me take another look to see what they are doing. Have you ever thought about this as a square crop, eliminating some of the sky? The stormy sky is a nice element, but so much of it is redundant.
Love the way the colours pop off the people... great contrast!

The picture is blurred. Try a tripod, and a small aperture setting to increase the depth of field. Regards.

I think B&W works nicely for this as well, letting us see the texture without the barrage of colours. Do you have an editing software program, such as Photoshop? In the top left there is someone else's foot (or something!) peeking in, and I think this would be a better image if it wasn't there. It draws my eye up into the corner and away from the feet.
All in all, I think this image has a lot of power and you should be proud of it!

Thanks for the comments, Sue. I didn't expect any comments and especially so soon.

Well I didn't use anything to enhance the picture quality. I used a Fuji color print film(can't remember which one) and I have no technical data on the shot - I should start taking notes. I wasn't even thinking about filters at that point in time, but now I am experimenting with them. I will revisit this spot in Central Park's botanical garden, this time with slide film and a polarizer - thanks for the idea. And do feel free to play around with the pic, I can only learn more. Thanks again.
