Good catch!! I had the wrong lens selected. It was the 18-70mm. I don't own a fish-eye... yet. I corrected it. :-)

You are so right! You've got me pegged. :-)
Yes, this was taken very quickly... on the way to work as the fog was starting to lift. I had to turn around, find a pull-over spot, and then quickly took a few shots before the morning blue sky started peeking through. I showed up to my morning meeting with mud all over my shoes. :-)

I love the fact that this is soooo dark. Cool lighting!
Perhaps I should have got you to shoot one of these glass globes in the light for me to use for my Crystal Ball series. :-)

John, this was shot in Nightshot mode with my Hoya R72 filter -- the method I used for all my digial IR photos. It's funny...I also wondered why the trees did not come out white like they usually do. :-) I attributed the darker trees to the fact that the trees were in the shade in low evening back-light during the winter. Had the sun been shining on the trees, I think they would have come out whiter. I had a few other IR shots taken within a few minutes of this one with the same darker trees. I've attached another one taken just down the road, in low evening light.
