The Old over the New and the New through the Old and plenty of abstract and other geometric pleasing imaginations... Great capture. Repeated congratulations!!

LOL Petal :) It's the Faculty of Pharmacy, so the white dots could be seen as pills? Or is it just my imagination? Thanks :) Ina

Thank you so much Mark for having visited my latest pictures and for your generous comment! I've been "scouting" the downtown core for pictures and so far I've been just scratching the surface. There are a lot of photographers here, and it's a matter of not only documenting the sites, but finding certain angles and times of the day, and knowing where the cool places are - which is the hardest thing, since they're not advertised. I'm showing the pretty obvious so far, and I hope once the weather will warm up a bit to go back, and having learned from my pictures, to find better angles and views, and new places, of which there is no shortage. I liked architecture even before moving here, so now it's just more of every style, especially modern. I think the city's strength is in its urban aspects: streetscapes, graffitti, people, etc.
Very encouraging words from you, Mark :) Thanks and looking forward to your new additions, Ina

Fantastic collage of textures and geometry! The color of the weathered copper details of the building in the foreground work marvelously with the window colors of the building in the backdrop. The long focal length has foreshortened the space between the buildings, integrating the geometry beautifully.

I have not been back to look in on your portfolio since shortly after you came back to UF. MAN are you ever back! Your Toronto architecture work is nothing short of dazzling, Ina. I suggest you do some high quality prints of your faves and show them around at in-city galleries. This stuff is DEFINITELY saleable. For real. Consider it.

Very best,
Mark

Andrzej, I hope you're "right" about the "right" angles, because this one's all at 90 degrees :) Thanks very much for your input, I learned a lot from your new comments! Hope you have a nice weekend :) Cheers, Ina

Ina, going backward with your postings I got to something that pleases my eye very much with the perfect geometry forms - right angle is "right" most of the time for closeup abstracted views. Am I right? Cheers, NJ

Thanks Paolo, the red brick is the roof of an older building, and the green one with B & W dots is the new Faculty of Pharmacy - the dots could be interpreted as pills :)Ina

Another shot with great contrast in colour, patterns and style. Seems to have a horizontal theme. Excellent work.
