About This is in an old ( pre civil war ) cabin that some friends have on their land. It's full of old stuff like this. This is the page that the book was opened to, I just arranged the items.

Here is another brilliant shot. Composed beautifully. I agree on the brightness but think it was unavoidable due to the circumstances. I hope you don't mind I have used photoshop to "burn" the right side of the book (darken) and changed the tone to add a litle red and yellow in. You havean eye to capture the unusual. Keep it up.

That's really strange! I photographed the very same Jesus picture on a London street once! You can have a look here if you like: http://www.usefilm.com/image/332502.html

PS: Excellent photo! (I mean your one. :-) )

Thanks to all for the comments. The lighting is so bright because the ground outside was snow covered. I sent this straight from the scanned negative, no PS work at all. I thought about toning down the light a little but I wanted to get some input here first. I'll have to set aside some time to tinker now. Thanks.

I really like the arrangement you chose - its random enough to be believable, but still organized to carry the eye around the frame. I would have to second the opinion on the image being a touch bright for the subject - maybe lowering the values in PS and then selectively dodging in critical texture into the shadows? Also, not to be commonplace, but this might look very nice in a sepia tone to go with the "old" feeling of the "found things".

Again, the arrangement is perfect, and this image is definately worth exploring. Very nice.

Nicely done. I like the arrangement of the items. The lighting is a bit bright though.
