Thanks, Hussam. It was fun...and great to have an energetic and innovative model. I was surprised how well she played up the glamour.

Hi Stefan, I am returning post-hurricane and reviewing comments.
I apologize for never answering your question about the in-between continuity images of Katie. (Perhaps, I did on the original image, loaded later?)
I had to leave the mirror up on the Nikon and have a tungsten focus-light shining on her so her image would stay lit between strobe shots.
Peace, Leora

Thanks for all the generous support for both photos. I appreciate comments on both sides of the argument. This is still my favorite, as I am imagining it blown up to life size in a mural. Lucky me, if I ever have such an exhibition. I jumped on PS to clean up the floor and styling glitches, then went further slimming or filling in the figure to enhance the feeling of movement and finally gave the floral pattern a swirl to build continuity. I would never take such liberties with my rapportage photos of people, but this is more of a post production issue with myself as the client, wanting perfection in the details. Thanks again for many great insights. Leora.

Balazs, that would be so yesterday. Trust me, not a big difference - but this is jazzier and has more movement because of the liquid tool I used on the skirt - otherwise a boring display of flowers with no dynamics. Please, I would like to keep the original in the archives.
I admire your work and originality. Thanks for your comments. Cheers, Leora.

Hi Leora - thanks for all the details, I am really learning new things from you. What I am confused about here is how the in-between figures entered the picture (so to speak). If you don't mind explaining some more, I for one would really appreciate to know. Email me if you wish: group@spellgen.com. Thanks.

Cindi, thanks for your enthusiastic response. I wanted to answer your question about the background. Before blue screen I was using a large swath of black velvet stitched together to cover a large wall. More for the feet. It had to be turned a certain way to be totally non-reflective. It works for the zoom effect also, which I will post soon. Best regards, Leora.

For SURE - you GO GIRL! Wow what a shot! Movement and strobe freeze awesome here. I'm curious about the background and the span needed to achieve the shot...colors nice -- I love the liquid effect - definitely adds to this intense pix. I true inspiration to me, going into my favorites now! Kind Regards, Cindi

Thanks to all for such glowing comments. It was fun to bring a favorite photo back in a new way.
And dear Stefan, I was waiting for someone to pick up on the liquify - if nothing else, I had a blast doing it. Seemed like a good opportunity to go crazy. The blending of the figures between strobes was part of the original plan, but worked better in some frames than others. Too much would wash out the fashion. Too little would look like pasteup. This is my favorite. Thanks for your critique. Leora.

This is great, and thanks for confirming that the original shot was one exposure. I like the blending of her head inbetween the strobes, but I'm not so sure about the warp/liquefy tool near the bottom. Great playfulness on the model's part.
