i love this photo, and the tones shown here seem to be a great addition to the print, so i dont have any complaints about your scanning abilities.

I've taken several over the months, but few seem to come out right. He does appear in stereo and once as a shadow! (See Doggy Longlegs--a play on the film title "Daddy Longlegs.")

You're a very productive photographer Matej, which shows that you use your eyes a lot - you have good eyes and i can sense that you're playing more and more with perspective and angles. This is definately a really good one - and i like the quality of it - for me this is simply one of the best from yours.

Lovely picture Matej, with a little emotion and impact, thanks to the relax attitude and Mina's look. Excellent DOF, sharpness is OK. Tonal range is excellent.

I'm not entirely sure where that bright spot came from... it's probably a reflection off the door down the hall.

a lovely photo... even without the original tones, as you have mentioned ... the composition is great specially by the low depth of field. I only wonder about the bright spot above you dogs head,... is somehow distracting. congratulations and best regards,

Thanks. Yes, I remember one photo of yours which featured your dog - I like dogs, so it would be nice to see more. I usually shoot Mina when I need to finish off the roll; every now and then, I get a shot in this way that I am happy with. Here I would have preferred more sharpness, but with a live dog at half a second and the Kiev's mirror slap without a tripod, I really shouldn't complain.

You encourage me to take photos of our dog, the Shetland Sheepdog you may have noticed... You've caught your dog's mood very well--relaxed and quizzical. The shallow depth of focus is JUST enough, and the out-of-focus areas are nicely smooth and not unpleasantly "edgy." Very effective.

Really beautiful photo. Great composition too. The only distracting things I think are the white spot in the background (on the left), and that little bit of a light line on the left. Lovely photo.
