About This is a shot of New Vegas taken over a year back .. after one of the band members split they were in a dilema .. they needed some promotional shots but didnt have time to re-shoot .. so I went through the old images and came across individual images .. I converted to b&w and fliped two of them to aid composition when pieced together .. this is what I got ..

I fully agree with you on the film front .. digital aint everything. I use an OM1 still with a 24mm sigma .. great great results .. if you were to buy it now it would brobably cost around EUR150 .. I have a D100 which only gives A4 size prints and cost over 2 grand!

I'll add you to my list too - you have an interesting insight into Japanese culture

Yes, and if you care to go the OTHER way, even wider, try the 10.5mm fisheye, another fantastic lens. I still shoot film and have a limited budget, so I use the equivalent Russian Zenitar (16mm F/2.8). This is the ultimate wide angle unless you care to get into stitching shots together. The distinctive distortion can become a cliche but if you master it, can be very effective in opening up perspectives for very close-in shots. From your portfolio it looks as if you would enjoy it. I've added you to my "Associates" so that I can follow your work.

they are still at it .. they're heading into the studio again in a months time. They've supported the like of the Thrills and the Zutons and have Atlantic Records sniffing around. Watch this space ..

Yes, this worked very well. Portraits taken with a very wide-angle lens are difficult but can be effective, as here. The flipping was a good idea for achieving balance. Splendid lens, that 12-24!
