Hi Rafi, thanks for the kind comment, on this, and my other photos!
Yes, the Olympus Tcon is a converter which gives you 1.7X the focal length and doesn't reduce the light to the sensor. It works very well, and has a 55mm thread that screws onto the adaptor on my Fuji.
Dave.

You are a specialist in bird photos, Dave & it shows in all of them. I'm always amazed at how you manage to "hunt" them before they fly away.
Thank you for your kind comments on my recent photos. I didn't know about the Olympus Tcon. Is it a converter?
Best regards,
Rafi

One more excellent photo of this beautiful elegant bird. And it is really snowy, not totally white but perfectly adapted to the colours of winter. And I wonder if it changes the colours of feather in summer. You were really patient to get such interesting photos.

Looking good Dave!

Is this from the same shoot as the one in flight? Or is the owl still hanging around?
A couple of years ago someone at work called me into the cafeteria and pointed out the window at one of these Snowy Owls. It was sitting on top of a low light standard right in the middle of our parking lot. He looked so out of place with all the SUVs and minivans surrounding him. There are a lot of open fields and wooded lots not far away from the plant. I suppose he was hunting in the area.
