Thakyou all for your kind comments. It's alwaysa brave decision to put your efforts on this site for others to pull apart, so it is nice to be told that your work has impressed someone. As for filtration, yes, I used a grade 2 sunset filter because beautiful as it was, the 'cold' light and grey clouds would have looked bland on film, even though the experience of watching them surge and roll like giant tongues over the peaks was amazing to experience.

This is what I call commitment! You must have been hiking in the dark for quite a while! But the result is fantastic.. what a vista and what a sky. Are there any filters on here, or is this really how it looked? Awesome, dedicated shot!
