About Taken on the sub-Tibetan plateau. His appearance seems more South American Indian to me. His facial features are quite sharp and distinct, very photogenic look.

You captured this portrait in a very distinct light but also at a very distinct moment, while he seems to visualize something from his thoughts, perhaps speaking also to himself about that.

Very nice transition from light to shadow on his face that enhances plasticity and the sense for depth. The blurry background is another big plaus as it isolates the Tibetan in his thoughts from the surroundings, giving thus more emphasis to being isolated for some seconds from all the outer world.

Great one!

Nick

I just read your about and i was going to say the same, that he looks more like an American indian. This is a really nice portrait of him, quite intense. Alison

Hi James I agree with your about. Maybe this would work well in B&W?
