About Freezing cold = No battery life. This was exposed for about an hour but when i returned the batteries had gone flat, so i couldnt shut the shutter (Luckily for me the shutter stayed open) So i had to put the lense cap on and hold the camera in my jacket, and take out the batteries and warm them up with my hands walking back to my tent until there was enough power to close the shutter.. :)

Now, that is dedication. The gentleness, yet vibrancy of the colours is very eye catching and creates a peaceful feeling. Too bad your camera succumbed to the cold. But your resulting shot is neat. I am not familiar with your southern sky. Which stars are those? Lovely shot.

And what a good luck it was that it worked at the end, Bryce! Such an excellent coloring in combination with perspective, and an ultimate "decoration" the traces of the stars on the sky. A good luck for us all, to see such a great work here!

Which also shows that photography is a game that demands patience and hope too - or else this one wouldn't be here!

What time of the day was that, if I may ask?

Best wishes,

Nick
