About This is my local pier and which is now deemed unsafe to walk. I have converted this capture to B&W and aged the look with filters etc. The picture could have been sharper but I was looking to achieve an oldie picture look with the Victorian feel as it was the Victorians that brought the pier to life!

What's with the sharpness brother? Or lack of it? Could be a really good shot!

You did indeed give it the aged look. A wonderful perspective.

Kaj, thanks for your comments, good to know someone is values some of my work :-0 I was trying to achieve what you described, I have just printed the picture out 4x6 and it looks really good, in fact it looks like an old postcard. I know we all have are own option and I value your comments, best regards my friend.

Stuart absolut not your best, the most pocitive is the perspective, the foto is overexpoced and out of focus. Regards Kaj Nielsen

Stuart, I like the use of B&W for this scene. The filters work well, it does indeed look like a historical photograph. The perspective is very fitting, I'd only suggest making the horizon truly horizontal :-)

Regards, Matej

It looks strangely symbolic of time and nature, and what it does to man's works eventually.
