Michele - I do wish you good luck in your job; more money & more hours and less traffic. Duh!!! Has to be better if the people you work for and with are nice. Just take care of the customers best you can, turn on the charm and you will do well. --Jan

Yesterday was my Last Day at the florist !!! I could not take the stress of the horrible traffic we have here in summer-time and there are many Crashes daily as this is a tourism town.... nothing but tourist work either ... Newport is our country seat with government jobs, and bigger bussinesss, as well as large working harbor. I have been working my new job & the florist job all this week and now I am too tired :)) My new job is a hostess in a nice restaurant in Pacific City about 15 miles north... no traffic going horth on 101 at least & the money is 10 times more as well as at least 30 hrs, work - which is right about what I like just in 2-4 days a week instead of 6 days with an hour or 2 each day in general ...so wish me Luck Jan ..I am off to Salem today .
Take Care mu friend , Michele~

Onie -- Thanks so much for the comments. I wanted it to look a bit like a flag; these birds were huge and watching us from the tree. They were not afraid of anything and looked like they ruled the "territory" completely, thus the flag. --Best to you, Jan

I am pretty close to that pink/red problem and also have problems with subtle dark colors like dark brown vs. dark blue vs. black. --Jan

Michele -- Thanks so much. If you miss California, take a trip some day and you will see it is still beautiful and fun! Although I can understand why Hawaii might take first call for interest. --Best to you, Jan

Trust me, it is bold and beautiful :) I have a friend who's son sees most pinks as red...so in fact when he thinks he is buying something red, it is usually shocking pink :)

Thanks, Liz. One of the advantages of being slightly color-blind; I have no idea how bold it really is. :) :) These three large black birds were staring down at me from a tall tree when we were walking about in Corte Madera, California. The diagonal of their positions caught my eye. --Best to you, Jan

Very fitting poetry Jan, and most interesting art work. I like the way the birds are diagonally placed in the frame, and the bold colour choice. :) Cheers Liz
