Excellent shot! At the first glance I thought it must be a self-portrait, then I read Digital RAW... Hmmm Nikon F100 is a 35 mm camera :-) Nice capture of a photographic moment and exceellent B/W tones DOF...

Yes Doyle, that lens dirt is something else! (Perhaps he didn't have film in, either.) He was an altogether interesting looking character, that means I'll have got the better shot, whatever!

Wow! Check out the lens specks!! LoL! Fun shot . . . always like the shots of photogs . . . somehow, his hands feel luminescent. Other than that and a tight lower crop . . . seems like a relatively cool shot (IMO) . . . Dueling cameras, huh? Wonder if he got your first and then did the fake pivot for plausible deniability? :)
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

Love the notes and I would have liked to see this happentoo, maybe he wanted a picture of your lens...sort of something to aim for so to speak. ;)
I won't be seeing you any time soon, read these notes for the reason why. http://www.usefilm.com/image/1339196.html

A very good shot AJ, well that is a portrait but also a graet objective image as you present a so great Nikon model, very nice image and well presented in greyscale. Cheers!

Somehow I think that a guy using such a quality camera probably has an old lens that he is very comfortable (and good) with.

Thanks Jan. The more I look at this one, the more I like it. The funny thing is, he didn't seem to spot what I was doing, but his wife did and found it highly amusing!

AJ -- Love the framing and the tight crop. I am amused by your description and the fact that he panned off of you as a subject when you pointed your camera. We call that game "chicken" and you won! Looks like his lens is maximum dirty and it probably cuts his light down by an F/stop judging by all the speckles. No negative comments on this one; top notch and amusing candid. --Best to you, Jan
