Yes, you're right, it is tragic. There are a lot of these magnificent stations dotted around NSW country towns, Mudgee, Wagga Wagga, Albury, Bathurst and Dubbo, to name a few. Thanks for your comment, Cathy, it is much appreciated.

At first glance I thought this was Orange railway station. Magnificent works of art aren't they! The tell tale sign for me is the grass growing between the tracks. Tragic. CC

No, it doesn't make dense, Keith. there are several of these fine old stations left to Rot.. By the way, one of my best trips through Qld included Carnarvon Gorge via the Emerald Hwy after visiting Longreach. Like any country town, you have to get out and absorb the atmosphere. I took some fab pics of the Gorge but am anxious to get back... Thanks for your comment, Keith. Cheers JD
