Mmm yes I adore the old folksongs and the special way the nodes go up and down in a melancholic sort of way

Traditional songs... folk songs. The tradition is the same here. I used to work for a record company years ago which specialised in re-releasing old folk recordings from England. There were some beautiful tunes way back when...

Oh donīt know what you call it in English - music/songs from the MIddleages where men "skjalde" went around entertaining and singing the news. That kind:-)

What's 'middleagemusic'? LOL! Music from the Middle Ages? Or music for people in their... ahem... don't want to admit I'm nearly middle aged... mid-life? I must be listening to 'oldagemusic'... Frank Sinatra, The Ink Spots, Dixieland jazz... God I'm so hip!

Oh then you must record yourself singing and then go to youtube! Then I can hear and see you:) My voice is okay for countrymusic and middleagemusic, so I think itīs better that I merely sing for Anna Sophie and the showercurtain.

Yes, I think I do! No, to be serious, before smoking robbed my voice of all high notes, I was OK, I think. I was once in a pub, very drunk, singing along to the records on the jukebox, and a singer from a band came up to me and said I had a good voice. I snorted and said 'yeah yeah', but he told me he was being serious! It was a nice compliment! Don't really sing anymore... I needed the fuel of alcohol to take away my inhibitions...

Then we make a perfect match. We are sure to hit the charts! Some years ago my husband was in the kitchen listening to the radio where a very old lady was singing with a screeky, old and very tuneless voice. I went to the kitchendoor, looked inside and said to him: Didnīt I tell you not to sing in the kitchen?! Maybe you sound a bit like her?*LOL*

My singing might be best described as akin to a mouse gargling with razor blades whilst trying to recite 19th century romantic poetry. Does that sound good?

Why not? I canīt sing really well and if you canīt either then weīre sure to have success there. Only thing is that you need to be slick then:-(((((( On the other hand old Greek grandmothers covered in black and drinking coffeee (yep itīs strong coffeee so we need some extra eīs) were also cheering for Lordi, so we might have a chance. We hardly need any customes whatsoever to stand out from the crowd... Yes, that must be our bandname: Crow-D.

ANNEMETTE! THAT'S IT! YOU'RE A GENIUS! We enter the Eurovision Song Contest! Yes! We do a duet, backed by a chorus of killersnails! That heavy metal group won a couple of years ago (remember? Were they called Lordi or something? Wore masks? A bit like your Ork?!), so we DEFINITELY can! Teach those slimy fellows to sing! We will be rich! We can talk nonsense forevermore with no worries!

Sorry, if it makes you hairless as the killersnails, I simply have to turn down your wish. We canīt have this fine hairy fellow turn into a smooth slick fellow who starts singing in the European Music contest.

LOL! I like the sound of your remedy! Can I have some? It might make me even hairier... like a big cuddly werewolf! Of course I might turn into a killersnail, but then again I've always been up for a new experience...

Yes dear Crow. Even the babykillersnails tend to sleep too long because they roam all night going crazy in leaves and berries. Then I wake them up by immitating a flock of hungry ducks and believe me..it takes time to get the right sound of rappesnadrerapap. The snails wake up fast then and I feed them with a calzone with fine remedies taken from old swamps, poisonous mushrooms, digitalis, dead frogs and sheep, and sometimes I get lucky and train them using the sorry remains from some popstar.

Aaaaaahhh, yessssssssssssssssssssssssss. In your killersnail nursery, I seeeeee. There they all are, the baby killersnails, suspended from the ceiling so that they can grow downwards, as they like to do. You tend to them first thing in the morning, and late at night... first off you wake them with an old Danish lullaby (something like 'wakey wakey little killersnail / your time of rest is over / the hour has come to rise and shine / and take the whole world over') and then feed them some liquidised skull n' bones stew. Then, as the sun is setting, you water them with a diluted solution of dogdrool and blood (you're not fooling me with that finger 'accident' stuff) and read them a bedtime story, which usually involves gardens, leaves and eating. I find this look into your world absolutely fascinating. More please!

The wonderful lady daydreaming! Beautiful concept and image. I like it a lot. The light makes this image very joyful, despite being B&W. Excellent work, dear Annemette. All the very best, Minoo
