I like the composition very much in this, this is a shot that I may would have taken if the oportunity had presented itself, as I have some pictures in my folio which I may concider uploading. Great work jimmy
Very good separation of the main subject from the background by selective focus - and what a sharpness of details on the main actor! Together with the toning/grain they generate the impression of a rather aged photo, and this enhances the look and feel of some old moment frozen in time for ever.
I don't know if the cut of the head of the person adds tension, but it does turn it more interesting in a strange way - like making it independent from the person itself, or generalizing the atmosphere just as if it would be the same by any other person. So the listener of the speaker gets less important as an individual - she becomes an idea rather, than a real existing person!
