It is good work! But If you used fujicolor 100 ASA and made more exposing, it could be better... Of course it is my opinion... I like it... Congrats...

Taras... thanks for commenting! Just want to let you know that the exposure was intentionally set to 10 seconds for the motion affect in the stars. Granted, there may be some "dust" present, there are two satellites present and their motion through the 10 seconds causes a streak. Also, just for information, the red color is dependent completely on your position in relation to the numbral position of the moon. Not all areas of the world view the same colors, and your 14 degrees of latitude difference gave you a beautiful display! Loved your shots!

Steve,

This image is overexposed. an exposure between 1/2 and 2 seconds would probably been better for this eclipse at your aperture/ASA combination. I am assuming that only some of the white spots are stars and the streaks are some sort of dust. With the overexposure, it is difficult to tell if your focus is on or not. http://www.usefilm.com/showphoto.php?id=134027 is a 5 second exposure at 350mm with a slower film to show what sort of detail is possible. I have a pair of eclipse shots up also, but they are taken through clouds, but the one during totality http://www.usefilm.com/showphoto.php?id=142292 shows the red color of the eclipse, though it is a bit underexposed due to the clouds I was shooting through.

Hey Dan... thanks for your comment. Just to let you know, the image wasn't cropped much from the original image. Just trimmed the "dead" space from the edges. Thanks again.

Anyone who can get a good exposure of the moon has skill in my book! I imagine this was heavily cropped from the 300mm image.

Nice idea. The picture seems to have been scanned and looks very dirty. It is a good result for a dificult shot. Welcome aboard.
