Hi Andy. This was in July of this year. I spent three days in Da Zhai back then. In fact, i just got back from Longsheng and Xingping two days ago. Working on some of the images from those two places right now.
I think I should have some nice results to post soon, although a lot of shots didnt turn out as hoped. I'm trying to master the shadow/highlight tool on CS2 now (the karst hills around Xingping have a lot of shadows and I need to try lighten them somewhat).
The fall colours did/do look nice in the rice terraces.

You have a lot of great shots here. How much time did you have to shoot? These are excellent. andy

Both shots are great, the main one is so lush and I like how the distance fades off into the haze, creating nice depth. The one below has some really nice colors and more of an abstract feeling due to the varied colors. Alison

The image above was taken at the end of July 2008, the image attached in this comment was taken in mid-June 2005. You can see the difference a month makes in this region. Both images were taken from (nearly) the same spot, although it took me awhile to find it this time around since it looked quite different.
The image attached here is also in my portfolio (somewhere in the middle).
