I have to say that I disagree with James on this one. I like the shallow dof. Focuses on the subject with his instrument. Not the subject AND his intrument.

thanks for the suggestion. I knew the DOF was going to be shallow. I was shooting handheld w/o a pod nearby. In some ways I like the way that he seems to be looking past the instrument to something beyond.

Hi Scott. This is an ok shot but in the future you need to use greater dof. In a shot such as this it is imperative to have the instrument and the eyes of the player in focus. James
