Hi Chris, I really like this picture. It has so much energy. So maybe you won't mind me saying he needs a little more space around him to move around in. But excellent capture.

Chris, I think this is absolutely fantastic. Abstract and emotive, musical and elemental, and full of ghosts, it seems...;-). I do think your second crop is more effective, but I would follow you last hunch and go ahead with some practice in Photoshop. Clone out those letters and then you will have that great negative space without such a tight crop. Then it is up to you if you want to do the same with the equipment on the right, for a totally isolated study. This presents so much potential for a variety of versions, but it still all boils down to a terrific capture on your part... Outstanding!!!

Anne, thanks for your comment on this and my other images, I've access to a high resolution scanner now so I might make a project of removing the writing on this. Cheers Chris

Chris, I was just looking at this thinking I really like it except the words at the top were distracting me a bit. Then I saw your crop in your last comment. Perfecto!

WOW Chris! I really like this one! you did very well getting all blurry but still a part of the guitar sharp, and if you add all the "ghosts" that are playing at the same time... haha, its just great! This picture just makes me want to go and try something blurry like this... well, don?t stop posting these stuff Chris, it?s really good =)

Chad asked for this crop - quick and dirty effort cleaning background line around his head for this.

Weird... I see it now. Jez (the guitarist) is going to love these when I point them out to him :) Roll up, roll up, join the weirdest commentary on Usefilm! It's find-the-ghost day! Might even have to upload a more "straight" shot of the real guitarist or he'll feel left out.

Chris: I did not see that one, there must indeed be a lot of persons in here :) What do you think of this one ? It was the first one I saw, even before the real one.

Sorry Koen, You've got me - not sure what you mean. Oh no... wait, now I think I've maybe gotya. Are you talking about what looks like a little comedy bloke in an old style hat and trenchcoat, but way smaller.... oh hell, here's a picture of what I mean - how many ghosts are there in this photograph?

Attached an other view on the guitarist :) His head is circled red, his hands are blue. Does anybody else see it ?

Thanks Kim, I agree - the clarity of that bit of the guitar definitely increases the effectiveness of the photo. A fluke of course :)

I really like the fact that the top of the guitar is still in focus, while the rest of the photo is blurred. I think that if it was all blurry it wouldn't have quite the same effect.
