unique mood due to the infrared film, but too much contrast for my taste -or my screen. i like the composition but the church looks a bit tilted to the right ;-) regards, kostas
Very moody shot, Lynn - owing, in no small part, to your choice of IR film! The leafless tree really adds to the foreboding feeling, too. The shadows are a bit too deep, maybe? Nicely seen!
Thanks for your kind comments on my wasp. I took it with the Nikkor 75-300 and the Nikon 6T close-up lens. I've found that this inexpensive, second-hand zoom lens is one of my sharpest lenses, and delivers a great resolution. Its minimal focus distance is too long for macro work, but with the 6T lens it becomes a powerful and nice macro tool. I can't wait for the extension tubes I've ordeded... I guess I'll be able to get bigger magnification with good details. So I'm not going to get a macro lens for the moment... (Tamron 90 is yours?)
I like the subject and composition here very much, but the harsh dark shadows don't enhance the subject IMO-- unless that was the intent? A bit grainy too, but my main concern would be the high contrast. Can the shadows be lightened? I haven't played w/ infra-red, but I understand it's tricky to work with.
