Hey John, I agree that the sky uplift works and the central composition works well visually. I would have gone a little bit further and adjusted the blacks in selective colors too, just to make the subject a little more Silhouettie!
Cheers, Bob

Nice job. I like the way you caught that bird as well as it is placed in the skies

Just thinking which is always a dangerous thing for me... You know how I am about things that are too centered. :)

The shot of the pelican is excellent, kind of silhouettie (like that word?) but with amazing detail too. The PS work on the sky is great, looks very artistic. I might take a little more off the bottom but that's just me. :)

Usually I don't like sky-replacements - but in this case it really works. Sense of drama and warmth. The pelican is beautifully shot, too. Great image, all in all. Cheers!

You did a nice job on the sky...it gives the photo a soft, warm feeling, and it's a wonderful silhouette you've captured, the form on the bird in flight is lovely.

You caught him just fine here John. I do like the color shift from bottom left to top right...Adds a depth to the sky and I like how the bird is caught in the middle of that shift. But he is in transition! He will sore. Nice job overall as you give the feeling of silent gliding, soaring!
