Shot at Gialova , near Pylos (Peloponesse, Greece), the only place in Europe that this endagered species (Chamaeleo africanus) breeds. This one was killed by a car. Cars are one of the bigger dangers for chameleons during summer that they cross the street to lay their eggs on the beach.
Oh my.... ok, it is original photo and surely pitty. Good one. The focal area I think it can be bigger. I think for this animal you did not need a macro lens or macro mode. Try on these object (with this long shape) to focus manualy at 25cm, not 100% OK its head (on the smaller distance between the lens and the object) but little bit longer distance. The focus result can be little bit better.
