About These unfortunate gentlemen, who had seen better days, sat there in all kinds of weather relying on the kindness of strangers to ensure they would have enough money to get a meal at the end of the day and a bed for the night.

This is very dramatic David!!! I feel bad and sad, very sad, to look at this image. It's a great photo really, I like the tone and the strong contrast, but I can't stop thinking of these two men, it seems impossible that this can happen, there is no hope in their eyes... Sadly real, but fantastic photo! Bye Max

David,
After looking through your portfolio I have to say you are a talented man. You have captured some excellent moments in time. I also have a C3 as well as a RZ67Pro11 and the old girl still takes pictures of equal quality.

I think Rodinal was a perfect choice here -- lends a bit more grit. What I find intriguing here is the two absolutely different expressions. As if they are reacting to you. One thinking I must look sad and destitute to make my living, the other thinking "oh crap" or maybe he's even beyond thinking that anymore. . .

It's a very engaging portrait, one which brings the viewer back again and again to try and decipher the expressions.
