Thanks for your comments, much appreciated. After your seeing your attachment, I agree the crop definitely does improve the image.
But I really don't have a problem with the necklace. I actually liked the way the vertical line created by the hanging necklace works with the lines of the Empire St. Besides I was photographing my friend's fall line and should have killed me for removing pieces of her outfits :).
I really liked the idea behind this picture. I have some minor nitpicks that may help (you are free to ignore them of course) :)
I have no idea what your model was wearing around her neck but if she had lost it, I think that a major distraction would have been removed. Vertical things need to look vertical , in my humble opinon, and the Empire State building falls over to the left in this shot. The window frame and brickwork add nothing to your shot and I would lose them... my PS crop should show you what I mean.
What do you think? Do the suggested changes make a good idea into a better shot?
