Crabs are among my favorite creatures (real crabs...not the microscopic ones), and this picture caught this particular crab's cuteness beautifully. The soft light made for great color and no distracting shadows. And there's nothing wrong with cropping OR zooming, as long as the cropping isn't taken to the point that the image is ruined from a loss of sharpness. This picture is nice and sharp, though, so, cropping or no, GREAT JOB! :)

Thanks for the comments everyone. This was just a very lucky shot. I'd left the group to shoot some interesting rocks at the other end of the beach and on my way back, this crab was just waiting for me. I didn't crop this, but I did zoom in a little.

Ok, 'fess up - that's a crop of the real photo, right? Ain't no way one of these grafy little speed-demons would've let you get close enough with your C3000Z to fill the frame like this :-).
